I contracted some kind of a head cold yesterday. Started with a sore throat then stuff nose and sinus pressure. Is not too bad but I do not like being sick or handle it very well. Last night I drank a bottle of cold medicine, I like to attack colds with a full frontal assault. I was in a haze when I went to bed and fell asleep rather quickly. At 0100 the dog was barking constantly so I put her out in the field (stupid dog). I remember my alarm going off and had decided to sleep in a few hours to see if the cold would subside enough for me to handle daily duties. I called my manager to let him know I was out for at least a half day.
Then the weird stuff happened. I woke a couple hours later and kept seeing colored bursts of light when my eyes were closed. It was very psychedelic and I kept thinking of Alice in Wonderland. I got in the shower as I had decided to goto work and I kept running through the conversation I had with my manager earlier. I recalled the whole dialog. But something just didn't seem right about it. I had this feeling it didn't happen. I checked my phone and sure enough I had made no calls. I had hallucinated the conversation. I took more medicine and now I feel very foggy and floaty. I am having a difficult time concentrating on one thing.
Well, back to work.
